line break in email

i have problems with the system emails. The where displayed without the line breaks. Is there any fix for this problem?

I see this is a very old post, but I'm also trying to work it out. Hitting enter doesn't do it, adding

or
tags doesn't do it. Anyone figured this out?

I recommend to use the latest version. You can also set Mail type to Send mail as HTML. This can be done in Tools > Settings > Communication
