Hi
Anyone have any experience with Boonex Dolphin Community Software (php)?
Anyone interested in a job integrating PostAffiliatePro into a Dophlin community?
If so please email me
Thanks

I have now posted this as a job at rentacoder.com.
(not activated yet or I would post the URL).
(oh yes and apparently I forgot my username here and made anew one :-)
All I need is to integrate the registration and login of Dolphin community with PAP -
and also to force all Dolphin members to nominate a sponsor so that they become part of the PAP tree.
Please someone with PAP experience help with this.
I am not a programmer but willing to pay to have this done asap.
Thanks

Hi
I am just about to buy and install PAX.
The minimum integration that I need is only two requirements...
1) When someone joins the Community portal they must automatically also register for PAX from the same form data.
2) that the sponsor name they enter in the form becomes their PAX sponsor in the affiliate tree.
So when the registration form is submitted to the Community database it has to also register at PAX and check to make sure the sponsor exists in the PAX database - and register as a sub affiliate of that sponsor.
Also the new members PAX username and password should be the same as their Community username and password.
I feel this is actually simpler than my description of it :-(
The difficulty is that because two databases have to take info from the one form - and the PAX registration has to be sort of invisible so that as far as the new member can tell they have only registered with the Community.
During the registration they should not notice that they are registering in two separate databases.
Think of it this way... if I just let forced people to register for PAX before they register for the community with the same username etc then that would work - but it is not acceptable to me that they should have to fill out a separate form when the information entered will be repeated.
Its also a problem if they enter a nonexistant PAX sponsor name and cant be added into the PAX affiliate tree - My only suggestion then is that admin should get an email saying that the PAX registration failed. Then I could contact them and ask again that they nominate a sponsor.
DO you understand what I am trying to achieve?
I feel there must be an easier way to go about this...
Thanks

Hi Dan, I am from Quality Unit support...
Sending any data from any form(e.g. contact form) is really easy. But the problem is when you want to send the data to the other system, that is different from the one you are using - e.g. Dolphin and PAP/PAX. These applications are too complex so even sending any data from any form is not such easy. It is because both application process data in different ways. To connect both applications needs long staring into the code of both applications and trying to find the way how to make them work together...
This mean you need a person who will do it for you. It is not impossible to do it, it just takes a long time and that is what we do not have...
Regards, Martin.

Thanks Martin.
Looks like I will be paying $220 to $300USD to have a programmer from rentacoder.com do this for me.
Anyone care to say whether that is reasonable?
Or anyone want to under bid them ;-)
