Hi

2 things I cant find an answer to about P3P:

1) As I understand it, we need a file called p3p.xml somewhere on the website so that browsers can find it and check out our policies. In PAP3 admin, tools->settings->tracking & cookies->P3P policy settings, the system should create that file, properly structured XML with the abbreviated settings contained in the text box there? But where does it put it? Submitting that form does not result in anything at affiliates.ourcompany.com/p3p.xml or at www.ourcompany.com/p3p.xml. w3.org suggests the file should be in /w3c/ but nothing there either.

2) Assuming I eventually get the right file in the right place - should it only be stored on the (sub)domain containing the PAP software, or should it also be available to browsers on each of the product-specific websites that are part of our affiliate program?

Thanks in advance for any help.

It doesn't mater where is this file placed, but you have to define a proper location of this file in the tracking & cookies section. You can also define your policy to the field which is bellow P3P URL.

ok - and then what?

PAP doesnt appear to create or save the file in the location specified so there is obviously something missing in the process I'm following. Maybe I have to put the file somewhere - but what file? Do we have to use a separate P3P generator to create the file?

And I (and others it seems) still need to know if this file has to be on the PAP domain and/or on any sites that visitors are redirected to by PAP.

Thanks
