I've also been wayting for the version 2 to come out - and buy it immediately when available :wink: ... what I've read from user comments and features, Post Affiliate Pro has a *lot* of potential - it's a sure winner!

However, the expected release date seems just to be changed from February to "end of march 2005" ...on the other hand I feel sad -- been wayting like a small child for a Cristmas present :( ...on the other hand, that's life. Just best of luck for Mark to get all those *huge* new features ready as planned. Thumbs Up :lol:

However, I need my affiliate progarm set up... So, now I'm wondering, if it's a good idea to buy the present version of Post Affiliate Pro right away and start with my affiliates... OR ... just wait for the end of March?

What do you recommend Mark -- I mean honestly, not from your immediate business point of view but from my perspective to get my affiliate network up and running with smooth uppgrade to Version 2?

So, just wait more - or buy the present version and the uppgrade?

it is true that Version 2 is postponed to the end of march. We are working quite hard to release it in march and no other postpones should be necessary.

If you need to run your affiliate program as soon as possible, I recommend you to buy it now. The upgrade for version 2 should be flawless and will be free for you because you receive one year upgrades for free with your purchase.

The only reason why to wait for version 2 would be to save some work with upgrading, but if you'll not make any big modifications except design changes, the upgrade process will be very simple.

Oh, one more reason to wait - we'll offer also additional methods of obtaining the v2 system, like lease or service hosting.
So if you are interested in one of these, you can wait, otherwise you can buy it now.

I also like the ideas for v2 (forced matrix option, hint hint Mark ;) really is powerful... but i need a referral system now, so will go with the free upgrade, i trust Mark's statement that upgrading will be flawless.

How much do you think v2.0 will sell for, to new members?

It is not decided yet if the price will increase,so maybe it'll stay the same.

For sure we'll be offering few additional options for using the system, like lease or running as a service..

Just bought the present version of Post Affiliate Pro two weeks ago and everything looks promising!

However, version 2 is knocking on the doors and I have a question.. maybe Mark can answer... we're integrating Post Affiliate Pro to our CMS in order to have all our registered users as potential affiliates.

To be presice and to avoid double work, I'm wondering if the authentication system will remain the same in Version 2 than it is now in Version 1.4 ? ...and if there are some differences, some details appreciated.

Hi,

there will be some changes in the authentication system in version 2.
The change will be in tables (changed table names and changed some columns), and also in authentication classes.
So you'll have to correct your code when you'll update to version 2.

If you can wait few more weeks until the end of march, you can save yourself double work.

yes, it is true, release of version 2 is postponed again to 15th April.
Last week I was working 12 hrs every day together with other programmers, but we were unable to finish it on time.

This is the last postpone because the new version is finished, we just need to take few days for testing it throughoutly.

I'm sorry for this, I learned I should not give fixed dates of new versions releases..
