I am going to install the free version with the idea to upgrade after I see that it works.

Is this the correct path?

Send customer to PayPal by the way of my shopping cart.

After payment at Paypal the customer returns to a thank you/download product page where I place the (<?PHP include "check1.php"; ?>) script at the top for credit to affiliate.

This script credits the affiliate with the sale and the customer downloads product from this page.
